-Your materials fit inside a shoe box

Material Weight:
(your egg is not included in material weight)
-Your materials weigh less than 500 grams.
-Your materials weigh less than 300 grams.

Drop Achievements

Drop Accuracy: none

Egg Resilience:
-Your egg broke but the yolk remained intact.
-Your egg cracked but the yolk stayed inside and intact.
-Your egg cracked but was still together.
-Your egg didn't break in any way! (awarded three times)
-Your egg didn't break in any way! (awarded three times)
-Your egg didn't break in any way! (awarded three times)

5) What designs from your class did well? Based on the achievements you earned, how would you redesign your solution to score better? Be specific (sketches with labeling work well for this).

  • Stanley's Design really shined in my eye because of how creative it was and how well it work
  • A better way to design our solution would be to add more padding and get rid of the parachute to increase the accuracy

Assembly Quiz

Glider Challenge

1) What's the challenge?
  • The challenge is to make a glider that can fly far and stay in the air the longest
2) Brainstorm solutions
  • Our ideas was to make a big glider with just a triangle shape with support beams going across the giant beam
  • the wingspan has to be great so that it is in the air for a long time and that it can catch enough air so that it can fly far enough
  • The next one was the one after the first one broke we cut down the sides and made a rectangle for wings
3) Specify:
  • The constraints if for it has to be made out of balsa wood and tissue paper
  • The criteria are that it has to have the best hang time and it has to fly the farthest

  • This lock is iron with a long arc on the top for security
  • The actual numbers for the lock are made out of plastic
  • This object helps to secure thing in place when you are going somewhere
  • Inside there are many interlocking pieces when placed in the right order you can unlock the lock
